Perfectmatch.com was designed to compete with eHarmony.com, and claims to be the fastest growing dating site on the internet. Founded in 2002 by a team of relationship experts, and with the compatibility system co-created by Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Perfectmatch.com has achieved quick fame due to appearances in films such as “Must Love Dogs” and “Superman Returns”, as well as endorsements by Dr. Phil and Regis and Kelley.

Perfectmatch.com features the Duet® Total Compatibility system, which Dr. Schwartz claims to be the result of 30 years of research on relationships and compatibility. This is similar to the evaluation methods used by eHarmony, with one key difference: while eHarmony will only display users that their system feels is an appropriate match, perfectmatch.com will display the recommended matches but allow the option of browsing based on their on user-selected criteria.
